50% Reduction In Liver Cancer Risk By Drinking 3 Cups of Coffee

Coffee prevents cancer

Say yes to coffee! Coffee Research validates earlier claims that drinking coffee is positively good for one’s health, particularly liver.

A daily consumption of 3 cups of coffee could lower liver cancer risk by over 50%, according to Italian researchers.

Regular coffee consumption also cuts by about 40% the risk of HCC – hepatocellular carcinoma – the commonest type of liver cancer.

Liver cancer is the 6th most common cancer worldwide, and the 3rd most common cause of death from cancer. Hepatocellular carcinoma is the predominant type of liver cancer and accounts for over 90% of cases in the world.

Coffee Prevents Cancer:

Researchers found that sipping 3 cups of coffee every day lowered liver cancer risk by half.

The favourable effect that coffee has on liver cancer may be mediated by the beverage’s demonstrated prevention of diabetes, a recognized risk factor for liver cancer, or for its favourable effects on liver enzymes and cirrhosis.

Causes Of Liver Cancer:

The main causes of dreaded liver cancer are chronic infections with the Hepatitis B & C viruses; other significant risk factors include tobacco, alcohol, obesity and diabetes.

Liver Cancer Prevention:

Primary liver cancers can be avoided via Hepatitis B virus vaccination, controlling hepatitis C virus transmission as well as cutting down on alcohol. These 3 measures can principally avoid more than 90% of primary liver cancer cases worldwide.
